FPAC Policy Webinar: Shared Risk, Shared Solutions: The Future of Wildfire
On April 23, the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) will host a webinar titled “Shared Risk, Shared Solutions: The Future of Wildfire Policy in Canada.” As wildfire risks escalate, experts will discuss proactive wildfire management strategies through federal policy reforms.
The session will cover essential topics such as wildfire prevention, mitigation, and response. It aims to identify reforms necessary to enhance resilience and protect communities and ecosystems. Key discussions will include predictive fire modelling, Indigenous-led fire management, and the importance of active forest management as a public investment.
The webinar is free and targets policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders in forest management.
Corey Hogan, MP and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, will feature as a speaker.
Panelists include experts from various organizations focused on wildfire resilience.
